Shtetl (Shteh'-tl) n. [Yiddish] (pl. shtetlach): Little town. Often used to refer to the small Jewish communities of eastern Europe where the culture of the Ashkenazim flourished before World War II. ShtetLinks is a project of JewishGen, Inc., which aim
