Classic Visual Basic – Customer Feedback for Microsoft
VB6 applications need to be supported - there is no automatic upgrade from VB6 - and manually updating VB6 code to another language isn't feasible. To manually upgrade an application of hundreds of thousands of lines to VB.net the time/cost is enormous (and who pays) and the resulting application would be slower and less reliable. As Microsoft moves into the post .net world (Javascript, HTML5, Win RT, Silverlight dumping), now is the time to right the wrong - bring back VB6.
