Memolix is a Place to Share My Painful Linux Memories! Tuesday, December 28, 2010 Yahoo Video Chat in Ubuntu Linux Pidgin and Empathy do not support Yahoo video chat! You should try Kopete. But immediately after installing Kopete on Ubuntu it does not support video chat. You should install other packages: sudo apt-get install libjasper-java libjasper-runtime libjasper-dev libjasper1 Kopete supports Yahoo video chat, but it seems not to support yahoo global chat rooms.
