Bay of Islands Travel Guide

The Bay of Islands is one of the most beautiful areas of New Zealand and the birthplace of our country. Our Travel Guide will help you choose accommodation, find things to do and provide directions for getting to the Bay of Islands from Auckland. The Bay of Islands has over 140 islands, a number of small towns and is where the British signed the Treaty of Waitangi with the indigenous Māori tribes, who remained undefeated by this great colonial power.
