Bastiaan Hendricus Koster, a native of Rotterdam who in'60 settled on the farm Kleinfontein on which the town was later established. Koster is a centre of maize production, although other grains, tobacco and citrus fruit are also grown in the district. Koster is a small farming town situated on the watershed between the Orange and Limpopo Rivers in North West Province of South Africa. The town was proclaimed in'13 and named after Bastiaan Koster, the original farm owner. Koster means
