Sharon Baptist Head Start opened its doors to 60 preschoolers in the summer of 1969. Our first home was in the basement of Sharon Baptist Church on Forest Avenue in the Bronx, New York. Since that time, we have grown to include Childcare in Bronx, New York, as well. Each year, we’re able to enroll 384 children on three different campuses. Our impact on families and the community has been marked by the statistics we’re able to produce.
