� History HH Smith, Inc. was founded in 1946. In 1968 North American Philips Company purchased HH Smith. In 1982 HH Smith was moved from its original home in Brooklyn, NY to Manaquan, NJ. In approximately 1986 Phillips put HH Smith under its subsidiary, Dialight, along with Kulka , and for a short time, HH Smith was known as Kulka Smith.
